Event: Community Care Legal Update 2019

We believe that greater knowledge of the law empowers professionals in their job. This allows them to focus on the areas where they can have the greatest impact and make a difference to the lives of the people they serve.

We also appreciate that adult social care professionals are busier than ever and the rapid developments in community care law nowadays can make it hard to keep pace and ensure practice remains compliant.

That’s why this year we are holding a Community Care Legal Update, an in-depth exploration of community care developments and updates aimed at local authority social care professionals.

Tickets are now on sale and the event will be taking place on 27th November 2019 in the Lecture Theatre at Sessions House, Maidstone, Kent and it will be chaired by Kerry Short, Head of Invicta Law’s Community Care team.

Talks from experienced legal professionals will include:

  • The High Court’s inherent jurisdiction;
  • proposed reforms to the deprivation of liberty authorisation;
  • the importance of wishes and feelings;
  • and developments in social housing and community care.

In addition, there will also be time to network with peers during the breaks and refreshments will be provided.

This year, we are offering an extended early-bird price of £55 per person for those who book by 11th October. From 12th October, the regular price will be £65 per person.
