About Kirandeep Ghattaora
I joined Invicta Law at the end of July 2017 as a Legal Secretary, and since 2018 I have been working as a Trainee Legal Executive in the Corporate and Commercial group.
After graduating from Southampton Institute in 2002 with a 2:1 BA Hons Legal Studies Degree, I started studying for the CILEx Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice. Having completed my exams, I am now Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and I am currently training to enable me to achieve Fellowship.
My role consists of providing assistance to Mo Olatuja and the other senior solicitors of the team undertaking Contracts and Commercial work.
I predominantly review agreements to check that they are legally enforceable in order to progress them for sealing purposes. They are also checked to see if they are in compliance with the Council’s constitutional governance requirements.
Another aspect of my job is to advise clients of the steps that are needed to be taken to ensure that the agreements are in order for them to be legally executed.
I also review construction contracts, grant agreements, loan agreements, amend and check terms of agreements to ensure they provide sufficient protection to the client.
