Joanna Augustin
Principal Solicitor
Joanna has worked for Invicta Law since Summer 2018, initially joining the team as a Senior Solicitor, Joanna became a Principal Solicitor in February 2022. Joanna manages a team of five lawyers and three legal assistants, including the training and supervision of a senior legal assistant working towards Cilex qualification.
Joanna has experience in dealing with a range of complex matters including lengthy fact finding hearings regarding inflicted injuries, fabricated and induced illness and sexual abuse. She has worked on cases in the High Court and with leading counsel on a number of occasions. In addition, Joanna has also dealt with matters concerning disclosure from central government, PII applications and wardship.
Joanna delivers training to her colleagues, clients and other local authorities. Joanna also meets with her senior clients for feedback at quarterly review meetings.
Joanna has co-authored a Safeguarding Adults Review report, in her role as an independent safeguarding consultant. In addition, Joanna was an Executive Committee member of the Association of Lawyers for Children from November 2018 to November 2024.
