Roger is a Solicitor in the Employment, Pensions and Education team.

He brings extensive experience in employment law, having specialised in this area since qualifying as a solicitor in November 1999. His work has focused on employment litigation, supporting complex and often sensitive matters across different public sector working environments.

Roger has particular experience advising on employment issues affecting large workforces, including staff working in operational and frontline settings. He works closely with clients to understand the context in which issues arise and to provide practical, proportionate advice.

Roger studied Law at the University of Warwick and completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University. He has focused on employment law throughout his career and is a member of the Industrial Law Society. He has also gained experience in whistleblowing matters through work with the charity Protect (formerly Public Concern at Work).

Roger values the variety that employment law brings, particularly the opportunity to work with people across different roles, sectors and working environments. He describes himself as a collaborative lawyer who enjoys understanding clients’ organisations and working with them in partnership, rather than as a remote adviser.

Outside of work, Roger enjoys putting his general knowledge to the test as part of a quiz team in a London league and recently made it to the semi finals of the BBC quiz show, Mastermind.
