Meet Sophie, a remarkable individual whose journey from the care system to becoming a dedicated member of Invicta Law’s Child Protection Team is nothing short of inspirational.
Born into challenging circumstances, Sophie entered the care system at three days old under an Emergency Protection Order (EPO). Sophie’s birth parents were within the care system due to their additional needs and deemed unable to fulfil her needs. Due to the local authorities’ involvement, the case moved with urgency and Sophie was placed with foster carers. Sophie was adored from day one and her foster parents later became her adoptive parents.
As an adult now working within child protection at Invicta Law, Sophie is confronting the stigma associated with the care system, refusing to be defined by her early circumstances and firmly upholding that self-belief is the key to success.
Climbing the Legal Ladder
Starting out in the insurance industry, Sophie realised her true calling lay elsewhere. Driven by a desire to positively impact children’s lives, Sophie transitioned into the legal field, exploring various areas of law. It was in child protection that Sophie felt most connected.
Beginning her journey at Invicta Law as a dedicated legal assistant three years ago, Sophie quickly demonstrated her exceptional skills and commitment. Her hard work and determination earned her a well-deserved promotion to Senior Legal Assistant. Now, as she studies to become a Chartered Legal Executive, Sophie is committed to her goal of becoming a lawyer. Sophie feels a profound sense of belonging at Invicta Law, growing more confident and comfortable with each passing year.
