Children across England are increasingly affected by trauma and emotional difficulties, with NHS data indicating that one in five now lives with a probable mental health disorder. These challenges place enormous pressure on families, making access to early, supportive intervention essential.
Dandelion Time, a charity based in West Farleigh, Kent, offers a unique response: nature‑based therapy that helps children and families rebuild trust, strengthen relationships and find hope again. When Invicta Law launched its Charity Committee in February 2024, the team chose to support Dandelion Time because of its deep alignment with the firm’s commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families across Kent.
Why We Chose Dandelion Time
Many of the children arriving at Dandelion Time have faced “deep, unresolved trauma”. The charity creates a calm, nurturing environment where families can reconnect through outdoor activities, creativity and shared experiences. Their therapeutic practitioners use nature as a catalyst for emotional growth and healing.
For Invicta Law, supporting an organisation that delivers measurable, life‑changing impact locally was an important part of our social value commitment.
Building a Year of Meaningful Support
In February 2024, Invicta Law named Dandelion Time its first charity partner. Over the following months, colleagues took part in a series of fun, community‑driven fundraising activities. Engagement was high, with around 50–55% of staff participating.
Our fundraising events included:
- Seasonal raffles and prize draws
- Football sweepstakes
- Themed bake‑off competitions
To deepen our team’s connection to the charity’s purpose, we also circulated Dandelion Time newsletters, helping colleagues understand how donations translate directly into therapeutic support.
As confirmed by Dandelion Time, non‑financial support wasn’t required during this period, so our efforts were focused on fundraising.
What Our Fundraising Achieved
Between February 2024 and December 2025, Invicta Law raised £1,515 – enough to fully fund:
- Five nature‑based therapy sessions, supporting:
- Five children
- Five parents/carers
…as they take their first steps towards healing.
Each session provides both individual and multi‑family activities designed to build confidence and strengthen connection. These include:
- Caring for farm animals
- Gardening and outdoor work
- Pottery and creative arts
- Woodwork
- Cooking using home‑grown produce
These therapeutic experiences help families:
- Develop emotional resilience
- Improve communication
- Reconnect through shared activities
- Create space for positive interaction and healing
Broader Community Impact
Dandelion Time reports that the benefits of this work extend far beyond the sessions themselves. Families supported through the programme often see:
- Improved behaviour and peer interaction at school
- Stronger family relationships
- Greater emotional stability
- More resilient, connected communities across Kent
Our partnership has also helped amplify the charity’s mission. Through social media updates and internal communications, Invicta Law has played a role in raising awareness of the vital work Dandelion Time delivers.
“Early intervention is essential… We are extremely grateful to Invicta Law for their dedication to supporting Dandelion Time. Their fundraising makes a real and lasting difference, enabling us to continue delivering our unique nature‑based therapy and restoring hope to more young lives across Kent.”

A Partnership Rooted in Social Value
Supporting Dandelion Time has strengthened our commitment to delivering positive impact in the communities we serve. The partnership has not only supported vulnerable families but has also brought our colleagues together with purpose, energy and compassion.
Invicta Law is proud to champion a Kent‑based organisation that is transforming lives – one child, one family and one therapeutic session at a time.
