Risk & Compliance Lawyer
I have been Invicta Law’s Risk and Compliance Lawyer since December 2020. I ensure that best practice is followed across the business in accordance with all relevant standards and I provide legal advice, training and support on regulation, auditing, risk management, policies, complaints and all things compliance to all staff within the company. This can include anti-money laundering, conflict of interests, client care, undertakings, equality and diversity, to name a few.
Everyone at Invicta Law must comply with the SRA Standards and Regulations and everything that we do is governed by the Principles and Code of Conduct. I worked in the Child Protection team for just over 8 years (in Kent Legal Services prior to Invicta Law) and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2016, so understand and appreciate how busy fee earners can be. It is important for us to be able to work in the most efficient way possible whilst also being compliant with regulations and standards.
