The Team Behind Our Giving: Our Charity Committee

23 July 2025

Giving back to our community is part of who we are at Invicta Law. Over the past year, our charity committee has turned this commitment into action, organising fun and meaningful events that have raised essential funds for causes we care about, while bringing our team closer together.

The committee came together in February 2024, driven by a group of colleagues who wanted to make a real difference beyond their day jobs, often working quietly behind the scenes to bring these initiatives to life. Their first task was to choose a charity partner to support for the year ahead. After careful thought and a staff poll, Dandelion Time was selected – a Kent-based charity that supports children who’ve experienced trauma, helping them and their families heal through a unique mix of therapy and hands-on outdoor activities.

Dandelion Time’s work felt especially meaningful to the team and allowed us to make a direct impact in our local community. Their focus on restoration – helping children heal and rebuilding family relationships – offers a hopeful alternative to the difficult situations we sometimes encounter in our work.

With a charity selected, the committee got to work, organising a range of activities throughout the year. From fun office competitions and bake sales to supporting national campaigns like Macmillan Coffee Morning and Wear It Pink, these events brought the whole team together, raised funds and shone a light on causes close to many of us.

As one committee member shared:

“Bringing staff together for an event and catching up with people you haven’t seen in ages really brightens your day. It’s as much about supporting charities and raising awareness as it is about connecting people and building a stronger team.”

Fundraising Highlights

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our team, and the support of everyone who donated, sponsored or took part, the charity committee and Invicta Law raised over £3,000 for important causes in 2024-25, including:

  • £1,500+ for frontline free legal advice charities through the London Legal Walk
  • Over £1,000 for Dandelion Time across multiple events like the Easter Eggstravaganza, summer fundraiser and Christmas raffle
  • £566 for breast cancer research through Wear It Pink
  • £165 for Macmillan Cancer Support through a Coffee Morning

Looking ahead

Dandelion Time remains our chosen charity partner for 2025-26, and with the year already well underway, the committee is busy planning and organising new ways to support this and other important causes. We’re proud to stand alongside organisations supporting vulnerable people in our local communities, and grateful to our charity committee for making it all possible.
